Japan to Host TICAD Conference in Yokohama

The second Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) will be held in Yokohama in August 2025, the Japanese government stated. The goal of TICAD, which takes place every three years, is to support and develop Africa. The objectives of the conference are to address issues and promote common principles including human dignity and the rule of law, while enhancing collaboration between Japan and Africa.
